Perched on the hillside overlooking Morzine stands The Old Macaroni, a newly renovated chalet with an abundance of luxurious facilities. Set over three floors, plus a mezzanine, the chalet has retained many of its traditional features but has been updated to include state-of-the-art technology and spa facilities.
A beautiful entrance hall and ski room on the ground floor welcome guests into the chalet. The hall leads into an open plan dining room and kitchen area with custom-made appliances, including a professional teppanyaki plate. There is a dining table and a comfortable seating area where you can enjoy a cup of tea after a day on the slopes. A glass floor on the level above looks onto the living room.
Located on the first floor of the chalet is a spacious living room overlooking the whole valley as well as the Pleney and Nyon pistes. Floor-to-ceiling bi-folding doors open onto a wrap-around balcony with spectacular views of Morzine. After a day's skiing relax in front of the wood-burning stove, or if you're feeling musical, entertain the group on the grand piano. A secret doorway leads to a spacious office if you need some space to work in private.
Tailor-made for relaxation, The Old Macaroni is equipped with stunning spa facilities, which include a hot tub on the deck and a glass-fronted barrel sauna. On the ground floor is a relaxing treatment room with mood lighting and internal shower.
With a hidden double bed equipped with a proper mattress, this room can also double up as an extra bedroom. In the basement of the chalet is a home cinema with tiered seating, art deco lighting and integrated surround sound.
The Old Macaroni is able to accommodate up to 12 adults and six children across five individually-themed bedrooms.
Three double bedrooms are located on the first floor. Named after The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the first bedroom is suitably regal with a velvet bed, balcony and a mezzanine area with stand-alone roll-top bath and views of the Pleney slopes and Point de Nyon. The second bedroom takes inspiration from All Men are Mortal and has a huge shower and dressing room as well a private balcony with breathtaking views across the valley. The third bedroom has been designed with Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak in mind and has a large en-suite shower room. Inspired by The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, the fourth bedroom, on the ground floor, is decorated in hues of blue and has an en-suite shower room. Two bedrooms can be configured as either twin or double rooms.
A mezzanine level is home to an imaginative children's bedroom, themed around Harry Potter, which can also accommodate adults. There are four built-in cabin beds (full-size doubles), each with their own curtains for maximum privacy; and a play area for the children.
