With 300 km of high-altitude slopes to explore, Davos Klosters is a paradise for adventurous skiers. The largest and most popular sector is Parsenn, where the Parsennbahn funicular takes you from Davos Dorf up to the Weissfluhjoch at 2,662 metres.

From there, skiers can either ride a short cable car to the Weissfluhgipfel, the highest point at 2,844 metres or embark on a 12 km descent with a 2,000-meter vertical drop down to the hamlets of Küblis or Serneus. This long, scenic run offers an unforgettable challenge for intermediate skiers. After descending, you can catch a train back to Davos from Küblis or take a bus to Klosters and a train back to Davos from Serneus.

If you're seeking adventure, the Pischa sector is dedicated to freeriding, while Jakobshorn is another hotspot for freestyle skiers and snowboarders with its large Jatzpark terrain park and superpipe. This area underwent renovations in 2022/23, improving accessibility for all and incorporating solar panels to increase renewable energy use.

Experts will find some of Davos’s best terrain in the Parsenn sector, with thrilling black runs like the Meierhofer Tälli, which descends into the hamlet of Wolfgang. Off-piste options abound, including the chance to follow in the tracks of Conan Doyle’s famous Maienfelder Furgga Pass route.

We wouldn't recommend Davos for beginners with the resort's layout making it difficult for mixed-ability groups to stay together. However, the introduction of magic carpets at the Bolgen nursery slope at the bottom of Jakobshorn and the Bünda slope in Davos Dorf have made these areas accessible for beginners.

As well as on-piste skiing, ski holidays in Davos are renowned for offering 172 km of free cross-country trails that start from the town and lead to the quiet side valleys of the resort. Along the Landwasser, skiers can take their dog with them to ski on three specially marked dog trails, or enjoy 2.5 km of night trails illuminated daily until 9.30 pm.

For beginners looking to improve their fitness, the Herzloipe trail is a short circuit without climbs to ease beginners into this sport. Davos also has the Davos Nordic Park which provides special free cross-country skiing courses where skiers can learn the right technique and watch demonstrations of both skating and skiing cross-country.

If you are looking to try something a little different, then why not experience a spot of night skiing? A range of floodlit areas allows you to enjoy sports and fun until late into the evening. Nighttime skiing is available at Rinerhorn in Davos and Selfranga in Klosters. Tobogganing takes place on Schatzalp and Rinerhorn in Davos.

End your ski day at Parsenn Gada, opposite the bottom of the Parsenn cable car. Open daily from 2.30 pm till 10 pm, you can enjoy snacks, hot food and drinks on the heated terrace whilst a live DJ provides the tunes.

Montana Bar and Ex Bar are great for laid-back drinks with a local crowd whilst Mountain's Akt Diner & Bar offers a fun mix of dining and nightlife. Open from 9 pm, Bolgenschanze is known for its legendary parties and vibrant atmosphere, whilst, Rotliechtli Davos is an iconic spot hosting monthly events. How to get to Davos

If you choose to fly to Davos, Zurich Airport (ZRH) is the nearest major international hub, about 2-3 hours away. From Zurich, we can organise a private transfer for you or you can take a train. The train journey from Zurich to Davos is particularly beautiful. The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) offers a seamless service to Landquart, where you'll transfer to the narrow-gauge Rhaetian Railway, which takes you directly to Davos.

If you prefer to drive, the route from Zurich follows well-maintained highways and takes around 2 hours. You'll pass through stunning Swiss landscapes, but keep in mind that winter conditions can require snow chains or winter tyres.

If you choose to arrive by private jet, the nearest airfields are in Samedan (near St. Moritz) or Zurich, with transfer services available to Davos.
