Peace and privacy in the Rhodope Mountains

Villa Gella is located in the sleepy hamlet of Gela - the birthplace of the legendary Thracian musician Orpheus. The ski resort of Pamporovo is just 14 km from the chalet in the village of Stoikite. The resort itself has 37 km of ski runs and 25 km of cross-country skiing tracks and is well-suited to beginners and intermediate level skiers. Offering peace and privacy, the chalet is located at the end of a winding no-through road with multiple panoramic terraces and outdoor spaces to relax.

The main living area is open-plan with comfortable seating set around a large wood-burning fireplace and a dining area. There are eight large French windows leading onto a panoramic terrace with an open-fire sitting area and dining table - the perfect spot to enjoy sampling the local wines and cuisine. There's also a professional kitchen as well as a wood-panelled library with comfy armchairs, a poker table, a selection of books and a desk with computer access.

Villa Gella has six superb, individually-designed bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and fireplace. All the rooms have mountain or garden views and five have sitting areas. It's also definitely worth mentioning the bathtubs as all but one of the bedrooms have baths next to the windows for enjoying the views. Three bedrooms additionally have separate shower cubicles.

On the lowest level of the chalet is a delightful spa with a 10-metre indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, shower cabins, exercise area with free weights and a massage table.

Aside from the skiing, there are several interesting places to visit within a two hour drive of the chalet, including Plovdiv, the European Capital City of Culture 2019, Bachkovo monastery, the Thracian tomb at Aleksandrovo and the ancient Thracian city of Perperikon.
