Property Tour & Rooms
Six-bedroom Meribel chalet
Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, Refuge de la Traye is built in the foothills of the Col de la Lune mountain above Meribel. Built in 1982 and renovated in 2019, the property combines authenticity and refinement with a myriad of activities and dining options.
The property itself has several communal areas including the main lounge, which features alpine-themed décor and comfortable sofas set around a wood-burning stone fireplace. There is also a cigar cellar for any true aficionados. Meals can be enjoyed in the cosy dining room or on the panoramic terrace with views of the snow-capped peaks.
The Refuge accommodates 12 adults and three children across six elegant suites. There are four standard size double suites, a junior suite with a sofa bed for three people and a duplex suite for four people with its own living area and private outdoor jacuzzi.
Refuge de la Traye is renowned for its incredible spa offerings. These go beyond the usual chalet facilities of a jacuzzi, sauna and hammam to include a milk bath and hay bed, Iyashi Dome and Wellsystem, LED light therapy and STENDO circularity stimulation device. There is also a range of facial and body treatments on offer.
Another highlight of the Refuge is the fantastic array of activities on offer, from snowmobiling and tobogganing to snowshoe hikes by day or night with an aperitif in an igloo and even biathlon shooting and archery. Those who prefer to stay indoors can enjoy a painting and pottery workshop.
There is also a wide range of dining options - breakfast, lunches, afternoon snacks and dinners are served at the Refuge, or alternatively on the slopes at one of the Refuge's affiliated properties/restaurants in Courchevel and Meribel.
