Set in the village square in Montriond, Grande Maison brings together La Maison and the neighbouring Owner’s Lodge, connected via the shared underground parking. La Maison dates back to 1749 and has been carefully restored, retaining original timbers and historic details while adding a dramatic Caithness stone staircase, bespoke furnishings and contemporary Alpine interiors.
The main living floor in La Maison is arranged beneath the exposed roof structure, with a lounge, library and bar area with pool table.
On the dining level, the kitchen is split between a concealed professional kitchen and a front kitchen built around a DeManincor range, with a floating wine cellar and baby grand piano nearby. The Owner’s Lodge adds a second open-plan living area with its own fireplace, kitchen, breakfast bar and reading corner.
Grande Maison sleeps 16 adults + 4 children across eight adult bedrooms and a quad bunk room. Six bedrooms are in La Maison, including two top-floor bedrooms with freestanding bathtubs, while the Owner’s Lodge has two further double/twin bedrooms and the bunk room.
The spa is a real draw for guests planning to spend time at home after skiing. Facilities include an L-shaped indoor pool with counter-current, massage zones and fountains, as well as an indoor hot tub, outdoor hot tub, barrel sauna, steam room, yoga/Pilates studio and massage room. There is also a TV snug, cinema snug and Le Boudoir, a private sitting room between two bedrooms.
