Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, the Chedi is a five-star hotel which combines traditional Swiss chalet style with a subtle Asian aesthetic. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, The Chedi is just a five minute walk from the slopes of Andermatt. Furka Suite is just one of the hotel’s exclusive 123 rooms and suits, all of which have large picture windows looking out over the stunning mountain landscape.
Spanning 330m², Furka Suite is the largest of the hotel’s suites and provides all the comfort and facilities of a luxury ski chalet. An attractive yet cosy living room with a central fireplace provides a chance to relax in style. The suite also has its own dining room, a well-equipped kitchen and balcony.
The suite is home to three bedrooms accommodating up to eight guests. The eye-catching master bedroom is located on the second floor, directly under a rounded panelled wood ceiling, and has a stylish en-suite bathroom.
There are a further two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
Furka Suite has the luxury of its own personal spa on the upper level of the suite. Facilities include a steam bath, sauna and Jacuzzi. The hotel also has a spa area with a 35-metre indoor swimming pool, a 12 metre outdoor pool, sauna area, gym and Tibetan Relaxation Lounge.
The Chedi, chosen by Gault Millau as Hotel of the Year 2017, has four stylish open studio kitchens showcasing Asian and European fare. The Restaurant also a Wine and Cheese Cellar which attracts many connoisseurs. There is also a Michelin-star Japanese Restaurant with a sushi and sashimi bar as well as a tempura and teppanyaki counter.
The Chedi has a Wine Library offering a worldwide selection of high-end wines and an intimate Cigar Lounge seating twelve around a blazing fireplace. The bar and living room makes for an ideal apres-ski spot whilst snacks can be enjoyed in the Lobby and pool bar. The Chedi even has its own ice rink in the winter months.

The Chedi Andermatt enjoys a prime location between the main high street and the train station. It's just a five-minute walk to the Gütsch Express gondola for access to the Gütsch mountain, while the Gurschen-Bahn cable car to Gemsstock is a ten-minute stroll away. Nearby, the main high street offers a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops, all within a short five-minute walk, making it a convenient base for both skiing and exploring Andermatt.
