Situated above Zermatt, Chalet Gemini offers a bird’s eye view of the village and surrounding peaks. Yet, the chalet is only 200m from the Matterhorn Express lift station, giving easy access to the slopes. Just a two-minute walk from the property is an elevator (built inside the mountain) which delivers you to the village with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Set over three floors, the chalet can accommodate up to ten guests in five bedrooms.
Tasteful in design, the interiors blend traditional alpine style with contemporary finishes.
Featuring wood and stone, the main living area is open-plan with inviting sofas and armchairs, an impressive wood-burning stove, and a flat-screen TV. An elegant dining area seats ten people, and there is a well-equipped kitchen.
Chalet Gemini has five double bedrooms, two on the first floor and three on the top floor. Four of the bedrooms can be configured as twins and have open-plan bathrooms with bathtubs in the room, whilst the fifth has an en-suite WC. All of the rooms have their own satellite TV and mountain views.
A large terrace with an outdoor hot tub is accessible from the living area. This is a great spot for relaxing whilst admiring the spectacular mountain views. There is also a sauna and relaxation room with its own shower and changing room on the first floor.

Location of Chalet Gemini
Gemini's location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. Accessed through a tunnel on the main street and an elevator. The entrance to the tunnel is 200m from the end of the ski run.
- Distance to Ski Lift: 200 metres from the Matterhorn Express lift station to the tunnel entrance & 200-metre walk from the elevator exit to the chalet entrance.
- Distance to Village Centre: 4-minute walk to Church Square & Main Street
Insider Insights
Location & Access
- The chalet is accessed via a tunnel from the main street, followed by an elevator. From the top of the elevator, it is a 200-metre walk to the property, which sits at the top of an exterior staircase; therefore, it may not be suitable for elderly guests or those with limited mobility.
- The chalet has an electric wagon and a stairlift, which the staff will use to move luggage and shopping as required.
- Whilst the chalet has a sunny terrace, it doesn't have a direct Matterhorn view.
Wellness & Amenities
- Skis and boots can be stored in the ski room located within the tunnel.
Layout & Space
- Bedroom 3 on the top floor does not have its own bathroom; guests will need to use the shower in the spa area or one of the other en-suites.
- Some of the chalet’s bathrooms are open to the bedrooms, so they may offer less privacy than you might like.
Suitability for Families & Groups
- Chalet Gemini is opposite Chalet Castor (sleeps 8) and next to Chalet Pollux, as well as another freestanding luxury chalet, Chalet Ibron (sleeps 8). These chalets can be rented together, accommodating groups of 16, 18, 24, 26 or even 34 guests
