Whilst the Le Praz ski area is very small, it is well-serviced by two lifts connecting you to the wider Courchevel ski area and the Three Valleys. There's the Forêt chairlift which takes you to the top of the Bouc Blanc piste (a ski lift away from Meribel), whilst the newer Le Praz bubble lift delivers you to the centre of Courchevel 1850 in just six minutes.
If you are looking to ski back into Courchevel Le Praz at the end of the day then you can take the new Eclipse World Cup piste or the red Brigues/Amoureux pistes which bring you out by the Alpinium building. Beginners needn't worry though; the Le Praz bubble lift stays open until 11 pm so there's no risk of missing that last lift down. The resort also has a designated ZEN zone designed specifically for beginners to practice their technique.
Courchevel Le Praz is also the place to go for those in the know when the weather closes in. The forested runs such as Murettes, not only offer a beautiful winter wonderland but provide better visibility and tend to be a lot less crowded.
Le Praz is a popular destination for Nordic/cross-country skiers with a number of 'ski-de fond' pistes with gentle gradients.

How to get to Courchevel Le Praz
The closest international airport to Courchevel Le Praz is Geneva International Airport (GVA), which is about 190 km away. This airport offers frequent flights from major cities around the world and is the most popular choice for visitors travelling from abroad. Chambéry Airport is closer, only 110 km away, and also provides seasonal flights during the winter, although it has fewer connections than Geneva. Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport (187 km and Grenoble Alpes-Isère Airport (130 km) are other options for international travellers.
From any of these airports, you can take a private transfer, shuttle service, or rental car to reach Courchevel Le Praz. The drive from Geneva typically takes about 2.5 hours depending on the weather.
If you prefer to travel by train, Moutiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains is the nearest railway station, located about 25 km from Courchevel Le Praz. The station is well-served by high-speed TGV trains from Paris (approximately 4.5 hours), as well as other major French and European cities.
Once you arrive at Moutiers, a short taxi ride or shuttle service can take you the rest of the way up to Courchevel Le Praz. The journey by car from Moutiers takes about 30 minutes, making it an easy and convenient option for train travellers.
