Well-located chalet on Route des Chalets

Set above Meribel on Route des Chalets, Chalet Himalaya is just 50 metres from the blue Doron piste. Guests can ski down to La Chaudanne and the main ski school meeting points, while the shops and restaurants of Meribel 1600 are only a few minutes away on foot.

Covering 720m² across four floors, the chalet features a double-height sitting room arranged around a central wood-burning fireplace, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking across the surrounding mountains. The adjoining dining room seats the whole group, while a second lounge with a grand piano and another fireplace provides a more intimate place to relax.

A guest kitchen sits beside the dining area, with a separate professional kitchen allowing the chef to operate discreetly behind the scenes. There is also an additional library-style sitting area and a wine cellar.

Bedrooms are arranged across the upper and lower floors. Four larger suites occupy the two upper levels, including a top-floor suite with its own fireplace and private balcony. Two further double bedrooms and the children’s bunk room are on the lower floor. Every bedroom has its own bathroom.

The lower level also houses the indoor swimming pool, which looks towards the garden and has space for loungers beside the water. A hammam, massage room and compact gym sit nearby, while an outdoor hot tub is set into the terrace with views towards the slopes. The cinema has tiered seating and a large screen for relaxed evenings after skiing.

Further facilities include a lift connecting all four floors, a ski room with boot warmers, a laundry room, a garage and exterior parking.

Good to Know

Space & Layout:

The six adult bedrooms all have fixed double beds, so the chalet is less suitable for mixed groups requiring twin rooms.
The cinema seats eight guests, rather than the chalet’s full capacity.

Location & Access:

Access to the Doron piste is from the garden, passing in front of the neighbouring chalets before joining the piste. Guests can ski directly down to La Chaudanne and return either through the garden or via a short path leading to the front of the chalet.
